Linde Material Handling, one of the world’s leading forklift truck and warehouse equipment manufacturer, has won the Innovation category for its new CiTi Truck at the annual Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence 2011. Product manager, Jana Vitkova attended the ceremony and received the award on behalf of Linde MH.

The awards, which took place on Saturday 12th February, recognise new products in the sector. The award categories include Ergonomics, Environment, Safety and Innovation.

Linde MH recently launched the CiTi Truck, designed to make light work of handling and delivering palletised goods in challenging environments. The new model sits in a category all of its own because it gives the operator the control to easily negotiate uneven surfaces of up to 70mm high while making minimum noise, a feature that is essential for early morning urban deliveries, and minimal effort in any application.

Alex Jones, product marketing manager at Linde Material Handling UK comments: “We are delighted that the CiTi Truck has been awarded for its innovative design. There was strong competition in our category and to have been recognised by our industry body is a real achievement.

“Our customers have found that the CiTi Truck is a strong asset to their fleets for both handling goods and the final stages of delivery. Being able to easily manoeuvre the truck into tight spaces and over curbs with minimal effort has huge time and energy saving capabilities. The electromagnetic brake also significantly enhances safety on loading ramps and slopes.”
