One of the UK’s largest manufacturers of soft drinks, Purity Soft Drinks Ltd, has stepped up its storage space to cope with increased demand for its natural range of high quality fruit juices and smoothies. Investment in a range of new products, in addition to a purpose-built, state of the art distribution centre in Wednesbury, has resulted in further success for the company which highlighted a need for an undercover storage solution.

After searching the web for temporary warehousing space, the company has rented a large canopy structure from temporary buildings specialist, Spaciotempo, to stack and store cases of plastic bottles ready for the production line.

The 10 x 25 x 6 m canopy is located adjacent to the main factory so that bottles can be transported swiftly by fork lift truck on a just in time basis. The aluminium structure is clad with upvc panels and a top quality pvc roof covering to provide the building with wind tolerances to BSI standards. The whole structure is anchored safely to the existing ground by way of a locked pin mechanism. The 6m unobstructed eaves height allows high level racking to take full advantage of the roof space.

The team from Spaciotempo was able to supply and install the structure in the shortest of timeframes allowing Purity to ramp up storage space to the required levels very quickly.

Mike Cox, Production Director, was delighted at the speed of reaction from the team at Spaciotempo. He said: “We needed to ramp up production quickly following the highly successful launch of a new range of fruit juices. It is very important to us that our processes are meticulous and that includes storing all bottles in a clean environment, away from the elements. We were able to identify, procure and install a temporary building solution extremely quickly from Spaciotempo. They worked very efficiently to ensure our tight deadlines were met and we are very pleased with the solution they provided”.
