Explosion risk and the environment are top of the agenda for safety specialist Pyroban at this year’s IMHX at the NEC in November. On stand 18M140, Pyroban will showcase the latest explosion proof industrial trucks and unveil its new solution for zone 2 hazardous areas in the official global launch of System 6000.

Pyroban is well known for converting all types of equipment so that it is ATEX compliant and safe for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It provides leading solutions so that forklift trucks, cleaning machines, automation, cranes, access platforms and various other types of equipment cannot be the source of ignition and therefore the cause of an explosion.

Also on the stand, Pyroban’s highly experienced team of specialist hazardous area consultants will present the range of ATEX and DSEAR management and training services provided through EX-solutions Consulting, including hazardous area classification. At IMHX, the specialists will confidentially discuss applications that involve handling or processing flammable material such as paints, resins, alcohols, aerosols, chemicals, gases and powders.

Malcolm Davis from Pyroban cites that many businesses may be unaware of the potential risk in their operation, or unsure of what to do, particularly in the logistics sector. He explains “There have been many reports of explosions that were caused by material handling and similar equipment, but only a few have reached the headlines.

“If we can support more businesses by helping them to manage their explosion risk effectively, we can help more people live and work in a safer environment. A visit to our stand at IMHX for free and confidential advice is strongly recommended”.

Pyroban’s environmental division, Envirosafe, will also introduce solutions at IMHX that help control exhaust emissions on new and ageing industrial equipment. Common pollutants from diesel and LPG powered forklifts include HC, CO, NOx and, in the case of diesel engines, particulate matter. The company manufactures, supplies and fits catalysts, spark arresters and diesel particulate filters (permanent or temporary installation) for vehicles and stationary engines of all power ratings and age.

Pyroban will be present on stand 18M140 at IMHX at the NEC, 16th-19th November and is running a series of seminars about safety and the environment at the exhibition.
