Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has introduced an all-new, high-spec tow truck to its comprehensive warehouse range. The TBR30N shares many features with its stablemate, the OPB20NE low level order picker – winner of this year’s Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) Award for Ergonomics.

Designed for indoor use, primarily within the automotive sector, the TBR30N blends operator comfort, precision control and sheer strength to deliver efficient and reliable performance.

Among many innovations are its user-friendly Maxius steering wheel and controls. Designers at Mitsubishi have combined this with progressive steering, automatic speed reduction when cornering and drive wheel centring to deliver total driver confidence when manoeuvring at speeds of up to 12 km per hour. A safe limit of 2.5 km per hour is automatically set when the truck is switched to walk-beside mode.

The TBR30N’s small turning circle, together with responsive steering and a compact chassis, results in exceptional manoeuvrability. Limitless 360-degree electronic steering is available as an additional option.

An unusually spacious, uncluttered operator compartment – with low step height and chamfered platform edges – gives easy walk-through access. The large non-slip working platform acts as a ‘dead man’s pedal’, allowing movement as soon as the operator steps onto any part of it.

The suspended floor’s textured rubber surface absorbs shocks and vibrations to increase operator comfort, while a comfortable backrest reduces driver fatigue. An adjustable folding seat is among the truck’s many productivity-boosting options.

High capacity batteries – ranging from 375 – 465 Ah – maximise shift lengths, while battery rollers and fast battery lock ensure rapid changeovers. Downtime is further reduced by a 600 hour service interval and RapidAccess features that enable quick and easy entry for checks and servicing.
