Dürkopp Fördertechnik, the leading specialist in the construction and installation of overhead conveyor systems, is on Stand 18N170 at IMHX. Senior executives from both the UK and Germany will be demonstrating some of the exciting developments in systems such as the Pick Rotor, Split Tray Sorter and Mini Trolley.
The Pick Rotor, which requires minimal space with its slim 22mm adaptors, is ideal for the automatic picking and sorting of hanging goods and can transport and sort in excess of 10,000 items per hour. It is the perfect equipment for the fast-expanding e-commerce sector where single item picking and the ability to consolidate small orders are so important. The system, which is used widely across the UK and Europe by retailers such as Next PLC UK, KIingel Mail Order Germany and Bonita Ladieswear Germany, can achieve a return on investment in under two years.
The fully automatic Split Tray Sorter, which has the capacity to move up to 20,000 items an hour, offers another cost effective and space-saving option. Each tray can carry one large or two small items which can be sorted simultaneously with the system able to accommodate any number of drop-off stations.
Finally, there is the entry level, manual “Set Carrier” system which is easy and quick to assemble and enables companies to benefit from proven technology without committing to major expenditure. This system is very popular in the UK with customers including Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.
Durkopp was recently acquired by Knapp AG, a major material handling systems provider and integrator, who will also be exhibiting at IMHX (Stand 20D30).
Annette Sommer, Dürkopp Fördertechnik’s General Manager in the UK, said: “This is an exciting development as our respective systems complement each other closely. We now have a greater ability to offer the retailing sector truly integrated conveying solutions.”
