A link between pictures on the wall of a hotel or office and a forklift may seem tenuous, but at leading contract framing company House of Talbot, a ROBUR stacker from Stanley Handling is playing its part.

House of Talbot sources, frames and installs artwork for a range of commercial clients and with some contracts involving as many as 2,000 items of framed art, efficient handling and storage are crucial. Needing to service a 1,000 square foot mezzanine floor used for storage as well as for loading and unloading duties, an internet search led managing director Simon Jones to acquire a hand-pushed, battery-lift ROBUR B3510 stacker.

The unit is robust and reliable with a 1000kg capacity and a lift height of 3500mm. A high capacity battery with built-in charger, rear wheel tiller steering, Vulkollan steer wheels – with castor brakes – and load rollers, load backrest and controlled lowering are all standard. The unit is quiet, manoeuvrable and easy to use and as Simon Jones observed, “It does everything it says on the tin – perfectly.”
