Following an initial enquiry via Google, a compact stacker from ROBUR’s SBE range is being used to move and stack supplies and equipment aboard a new, lightweight oil and gas drilling ship in locations around the world.
Supplied by Stanley Handling to drilling and subsurface evaluation company Fugro Well Services, the ROBUR truck is working on the company’s Fugro Synergy. Commissioned in 2009, the vessel offers a specialist, smaller and more cost effective unit for certain pre-drilling operations and helps relieve expensive mobile off-shore drilling units of some simpler tasks and peripheral operations.
The robust and manoeuvrable SBE1610 stacker features powered lift and drive, has a load capacity of 1000kgs and lifts to 1600mm. Electronic speed control, electromagnetic braking and a high capacity battery are all included as standard. Stainless steel versions and bespoke models for use in hazardous environments are also available and a range of lift height options can be specified.
