Steel transport company, Hingley Transport Ltd., has taken delivery of seven new Renault Premium 460.25, 6×2 tractor units, through Renault Trucks Midlands. The new trucks join a 60-strong fleet, of which over half are now Renault.
The new additions will be used to deliver steel products nationwide for the company’s on-going contracts with TDG Plc and Corus Steel UK, as well as undertaking general steel haulage.
Dave Smith, Financial Director, Hingley Transport Ltd., says: “We have had Renault Premiums and Magnums on our fleet since 2000 and our new vehicle choice is based on whole life cost and experience. We have very little vehicle downtime with the Renaults and the back up and service received from Renault Trucks Midlands is excellent. The Renault service network is an integral part of our business and, as well as the trucks, Renault Trucks Midlands services our 140-strong fleet of trailers.”

Developed from a background of general haulage the company is now the largest private steel transport company in the West Midlands and one of the largest in the UK.
