What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
That I get to help people hopefully find and secure excellent jobs through our business.
Who inspired you most in your career?
Two gentlemen who were both ex Chief Executives of Federal Express.
Colin Millbanks – who led the turn around of Parceline from a high volume lowish quality operator to a high quality highly profitable business.
Colin had the drive,passion and vision to change the culture of Parceline.
Paul Murray – who led and developed Target Express to its highly respected position in the Express parcel sector.
A man again with a clear vision, together with total integrity and humility.
If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
A bit random, however I would be the tea/coffee machine.
What brought you to this industry?
Like many others, I fell into it (parcels and distribution) and it “got under my skin”.
If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?
Nothing, as the mistakes I have made have taught me new lessons and made me the person I am today.
What’s your favourite pastime?
Playing snooker on a high quality table.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
I did an impromptu “moonie” out of a Limo to make my daughter laugh, completely forgetting I had customers in the car.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Nothing special.
Who would be your favourite party guests?
Richard Branson or Alan Sugar.
What is the greatest luxury in your life?
My Spurs season ticket.
If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
Hopefully nothing different.
Who or what makes you laugh?
Silly movies like “Dumb and Dumber” or programmes like “Only Fools and Horses”.
Do you have any secret ambitions?
Not secret just to be the best I can in whatever I do.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
Not for the weather – Ireland as the people are so warm and friendly.

Wild Hogs.

Losing my virginity – Richard Branson.
Who or what do you detest the most?
Liars and cheats.
What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
If you want an easy boring dependable industry then DO SOMETHING ELSE. However if you want a dynamic challenging people based business then jump in and have some fun.
