Customers of the Company, which helps businesses with all aspects of their global supply chain, together with members of the local business community networked and discussed topical industry issues with guest representatives from Southampton’s DP World, Carbon Footprint Limited, China Britain Business Council, HSBC Bank, BIFA, UKTI and the Southampton and Fareham Chamber of Commerce.
Guests then let their hair down and were entertained by popular local band Beats Working in the Company’s new 6500 square foot warehouse which also became temporary home to a trendy bar and mouth watering hog roast.
The move marks a milestone in the development of the business that was originally based in Eastleigh. Over the last 8 years the operations have grown from strength to strength and the Company has developed an impressive client list that includes Hampshire based Tool & Equipment retailer Northern Tool, GKN Aerospace and luxury clothes giant Ben Sherman.
Commenting on the launch, Gary Phillips, Regional Manager, said: “Since moving to Southampton we’ve experienced a range of economic conditions, from the boom of the 90’s to the worst recession since the Second World War. Through good times and bad our business has continued to develop, take on a new shape and strategic direction and I believe that we are well placed to meet the challenges of 2010.”
