cat-dpgp15-35n2cropThe UK’s national Cat® Lift Truck distributor and service provider, Briggs Equipment has extended its product range to include the new DP/GP IC-powered Cat® Lift trucks.

With enhanced productivity, class-leading durability and exceptional comfort and safety, they are amongst the most sophisticated and durable handling machines available with some of the lowest lifetime costs.

The updated diesel and LPG-powered range comes with a new digital display unit, not only warning drivers if an unexpected fault occurs but also provides error codes to ensure that engineers bring the right parts for repair, keeping down-time to a minimum.

An engine timer, meanwhile, keeps track of hours worked, providing a countdown that helps fleet managers schedule regular maintenance as efficiently as their operation allows.

“Product reliability and durability come as standard with Cat lift trucks”, says Tony Rooney, sales and marketing director at Briggs Equipment. “The lift trucks offer new improvements including upgrading the rear axle mount from a rubber fitting to a metal bush and electronic engine control making them amongst the most sophisticated and durable machines available.”

Safety has advanced with an optional improved visibility overhead guard specified to replace the standard longitudinal steel bar design. This innovative design not only gives improved lines of sight when working with loads at height but also maintains the high level of protection from falling objects offered by a standard overhead guard.

The Presence Detection System (PDS) continues to be standard on the new trucks. This uses a seat switch to ensure the operator is correctly seated before allowing access to the truck’s hydraulic functions, preventing the risk of accidents that might otherwise result from the driver trying to control the truck while standing up in the truck – or even from the aisle.

“The updated DP/GP range offers what today’s businesses really need from their handling equipment: durable, high-performance machines that are easy and safe to operate, protecting both the user’s investment and their people,” continues Tony Rooney.

Briggs Equipment delivers its promises alongside supply of the trucks, with its local engineers on call, keeping a consistent high level of national service operating out of its service centre in Cannock.

The new DP/GP trucks are just part of a wide array of top quality materials handling solutions. The range comprises electric, LPG and diesel-powered counterbalanced trucks and a host of warehouse handling solutions including power pallet trucks, stackers, low and high level order pickers, reach trucks and turret trucks.
