Based in the heart of Devon in the village of Colridge, near Crediton, Hawkridge have recently purchased a Manitou Industrial Electric Forklift, model type ME425, for unloading/loading lorries and vans for distribution of food produce.

The new Manitou is easy to drive and is highly efficient in the chilled warehouse for maximising storage. Paul Smith of Hawkridge commented:

The Manitou forklifts regenerative braking is a positive feature, essential in the constant repetitive loading of vehicles, as it stops the forklift rolling forward.  In a demanding handling environment where space is at a premium, the Manitou is very agile and highly manoeuvrable machine.
