A specialised solution from Mosca, designed to ensure the effective strapping of 4-corner boxes and crash-lock cases, has given corrugated packaging manufacturer The Boxshop optimum reliability and flexibility for its wide product range.
Based in East Kilbride, The Boxshop supplies across industries as diverse as food and drink, medical, textile and governmental, with a customer base that includes many leading brand names. In order to meet demand for rigid, durable corrugated packaging, the company has recently invested in a Bobst Starfold Gluer and required equally reliable end-of-line strapping.
The Boxshop already uses a Mosca pallet press, tailored to suit The Boxshop’s production requirements – and it was this dedication that made Mosca the first choice to supply the new machine. “We have always found Mosca to be helpful and knowledgeable, with excellent build quality and effective training and technical support,” confirms David Protheroe, Director of The Boxshop.
Key requirements were for a versatile strapping solution that could handle a wide variety of pack sizes and designs, while being easy to set-up, operate and maintain with the minimum of downtime.
Mosca has supplied its RO-ATRS-K, a semi-automatic bundler squarer which is specifically developed to strap the unusual shapes of multi point glued boxes, making it ideal for 4-corner and crash-lock work. Featuring Mosca’s innovative direct drive technology, which minimises the number of moving parts for excellent long-term reliability and performance, the Mosca RO-ATRS-K is capable of strapping 22 bundles per minute.
“The Mosca RO-ATRS-K has fulfilled all of our requirements and we continue to be very happy with the quality of Mosca’s products and service,” concludes David Protheroe.
Mosca equipment is available in the UK from its wholly owned subsidiary Mosca Direct of Cotgrave, Nottingham.
