Citizen Systems Europe, the leading manufacturer of dot matrix, label and barcode printers, has launched an industrial printer with rewinder that makes it easy to print and apply labels on demand. The CL-S700R is ideal for re-labelling poorly or incorrectly labelled packages in logistics applications, allowing the process to be carried out quickly and efficiently.
Packages can require re-labelling for a number of reasons, from being incorrectly labelled to begin with to being damaged in transit or storage. Printing new labels on demand with conventional printers can be time consuming, leading to unnecessary costs. However, the CL-S700R peels and presents each label as it is printed, rewinding the backing paper neatly into the machine. As a result, re-labelling is made considerably faster, simpler and more cost effective.
Like Citizen’s existing CL-S700 printer, the CLS-700R is compact and robust, designed specifically for industrial applications. The printer’s Hi-Open™ metal casing allows easy access to the internal mechanism, and all standard operations, including paper loading, are accessible from the front of the unit. Media can be changed in just 10 seconds; up to 10 times faster than competing printers.
The CL-S700R can print 10 inches per second and accommodate a roll of media or backing/liner paper up to 6” in diameter, extending the intervals between media changes. The printer is able to deliver consistent results thanks to Citizen’s ARCP™ technology, which has been developed to eliminate ribbon wrinkle.
The new printer features parallel, serial and USB interfaces as standard and internal Ethernet and Wireless LAN options can be added in a minute, providing remote control, configuration and monitoring.
