Spirit Data Capture Limited, the independent mobile computing and data capture consultancy, has become a distributor of handheld ID readers from the Cognex Corporation. Cognex – the world’s leading provider of vision systems, software and sensors – has developed the DataMan® range of high performance Direct Part Marking (DPM) scanners.
The Dataman readers incorporate Cognex’s award-winning ID code-reading technology and give unparalleled results for DPM applications. They can scan even poorly produced 2D barcodes accurately and reliably. The readers are designed for industrial use and are therefore very rugged – but they are also compact and ergonomic.
The Dataman family includes the 7500 Series and the new 700 Series. The Dataman 7500 Series readers are the most versatile handheld industrial readers available, as they can handle everything from normally printed barcodes through to the most challenging DPM marks.
