Joining the board of directors at Culina, he was previously divisional finance director with Wincanton PLC, the international logistics company.

Based at Culina’s Market Drayton head office, Mark is responsible for establishing and managing key customer relationships, along with developing a finance team that demonstrates a best in class commercial outlook.

He said: “Culina has become a major force in the food and drink sector over the last five years and my aim is to ensure that the financial controls remain sufficiently robust to keep pace with the planned growth as the company drives forward.”

Mark will also ensure that the finance function is fully integrated into the business to provide real value through the provision of quality, timely and accurate information.

Mark has accumulated a wide range of experience during his career, including the food sector at Dairy Crest and Northern Foods.

Commenting on the appointment, Culina chief executive officer, Thomas van Mourik, said: “Mark brings with him a wealth of experience from other major logistics companies, including those within the food and drinks sector.
