decin-print-machine-kelloggsStructure-flex Limited, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bulk packaging solutions, lifting and safety equipment and vehicle tension curtains, has made a substantial investment in equipment for its Structure-flex CZ manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. Its factory in Decin now mirrors the production facilities in Melton Constable, and has begun production of digital print vehicle curtains.

The £120,000 investment includes a Gandi Innovations Jeti grand format, full colour digital printer with a 3.2 metre width capacity, which is providing Structure-flex CZ with a vehicle curtain manufacturing capability far in advance of many other European curtain makers. Additionally, Structure-flex has installed sets of sophisticated ink scales in both Decin and Melton Constable, which facilitates perfect colour mixing to a specific pantone reference number from either source.

Some of the first curtains to come off the printer were for Kelloggs, a name which ‘wakes up’ a large proportion of households in the western world with its wide range of breakfast cereals. The company has recently updated its corporate brand identity, and Structure-flex was commissioned to provide curtain sides and door decals for its fleet of vehicles.

Matt Doughty, Head of Sales and Marketing at Structure-flex comments: “Besides ensuring that Kelloggs’ vehicles are portraying the company’s new image in the best possible way when about their business, the curtains are also a good advertisement for the skills and print capabilities of Structure-flex CZ. This significant investment in state of the art printing equipment will ensure that Structure-flex CZ becomes a major European player in vehicle curtain supply.”
