exide-new.jpgExide Technologies (CMP Batteries Ltd) has appointed two new Senior Key Account Managers. Vic Sayer will primarily be responsible for looking after Exide’s major retail customers while David Summerfield will be responsible for the management of one of Exide’s major forklift truck customers. Vic has worked within the materials handling industry for 18 years – the majority of which had previously been with CMP Batteries Ltd. Vic’s claim to fame is that he was filmed inspecting a truck battery in London whilst shooting for the boat chase scene in the Bond movie ‘The World is Not Enough’ was taking place. He was disappointed to find that his stint as an unofficial extra was short-lived as his film debut ended up on the cutting room floor.

David Summerfield joins Exide from outside the industry but has a wealth of experience in managing major accounts. David is no stranger to real life action having served in the Armed Forces for over 10 years, including time in the Parachute Regiment and as a Commando. He saw active duty in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and the Gulf.

Both Vic and David will report directly to Ron Wilson, Exide’s National Field Sales Manager.
