SSI Schaefer has yet again successfully installed a new Trade Parts Operation for Hendy Ford in Hampshire. Having previously completed a number of installations for Hendy Ford across the South Coast region, SSI Schaefer has built up quite a relationship with the premier motor group in the South. It was clear that Hendy Ford would utilise the services of Schaefer once again when a decision was made to consolidate three divisions of trade parts under one roof in Southampton.
In order to optimise the available space, leading Automotive Specialist within SSI Schaefer designed and installed a system that ensured maximum storage capacity while occupying minimum space – an area which has since exceeded all expectations and requirements, something that Hendy has come to expect from Schaefer.
The new Trade Parts Operation facility is equipped with Regal 4000 multi-tier shelving used for the storage of all small and medium sized parts – the strong high-grade steel construction with securely located base and top shelves and full height uprights offers simple assembly and ease of handling. While the versatile multifunctional shelving system that is Regal 3000 is used for storing the more bulky items such as bumpers, exhausts and bodywork materials.
A PR 600 pallet racking system was also included in the specification which has enabled Hendy to locate large and heavy parts such as major units and gearboxes, utilising the full height of the building. To complete the new parts operation SSI Schaefer installed a fire rated raised storage platform with lighting to the underside.
