fra.jpgPEL Services Ltd., a leading UK systems company that designs, supplies, installs, commissions and maintains sound, fire, security & communications systems, has added Fire Risk Assessments to its list of professional services. With the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 firmly in place, non-domestic premises in England and Wales will no longer be issued with Fire Safety certificates by the Fire Brigade. Instead, the onus is on the ‘responsible person’ within those premises. In a workplace, this is the employer and any other person who may have control of any part of the premises, e.g. the occupier or owner. In all other premises the person or people in control of the premises will be responsible.

To ensure that you comply with the law and have fulfilled your responsibilities, PEL Services is now offering the skills of a highly experienced and fully qualified independent Fire Risk Consultant to carry out your Fire Risk Assessment. For a fixed price, the service available through PEL includes full evaluation of the fire precautions on your site; a review of the site management procedures and emergency planning; evaluation of the specific fire risks; a detailed report, presented in person, on the findings in an easy to understand format and full support and guidance on any improvements required.

Ken Faulks, Managing Director of PEL Services, explains his company’s decision: “To assess a building for risk of fire is actually a complex task and one that many of our existing customers felt under qualified to do. To get appropriate training is both expensive and time consuming and detracts from a company’s core business. By offering an independent Fire Risk Consultant to undertake the Assessment, we are giving customers a valuable service and peace of mind.”
