brixton.jpgThe world’s first industrial estate – and the UK’s largest in single ownership – has benefited from a £9.8 million investment by Brixton in the completion of 20 industrial/warehousing units totalling 18,814 m2 (202,520 sq ft). Trafford Park which occupies a swathe of land totalling 567 ha (1,400 acres) between the M60 motorway and the Manchester Ship Canal holds the accolade of the world’s first purpose built industrial estate with origins dating back to 1897.

A long and active history with famous brand occupiers such as the Kellogg Company, Ford Motor Co. and Westinghouse Electric Company has led to a process of redevelopment of the site. The latest area of 4.26 ha (10.54 acres) designated Premier Park, completed by Anglo Holt in 42 weeks has replaced outdated redundant workspace with much of the demolition spoil totalling 12,000 m3 (423,773 ft3) recycled for use as fill and sub base material.

The design and construction brief for energy efficient, low maintenance industrial, warehouse and trade counter space with the emphasis on a sustainable development meets the requirements of B-Serv, the wholly owned property management subsidiary of Brixton.
Premier Park represents Anglo Holt’s second commercial property contract for Brixton.
