IBCS, the South Yorkshire based industrial battery and charger specialists is sponsoring an award at this year’s FLTA 2019 dinner. The prestigious ‘Innovation’ category is widely regarded as the most sought after of all the awards.

Here’s what has previously been said about it in the Pick of the Year supplement in HIS magazine: The Award acknowledges those pushing at the boundaries of forklift technology and one company in particular has launched what our jury felt was the most imaginative and ingenious product of the past year.

Also, known as an ‘Archie’, the awards are the national Oscars of the forklift industry and are presented to the selected winners at the annual dinner. The Awards jury is drawn from all areas of the industry and is based on experience, engineering expertise and an intimate knowledge of the marketplace. It includes manufacturers, dealers, suppliers and representation from the media.

2019 also marks the 25th anniversary of the Awards. Staging them is only made possible by the participation and support of marketleading companies like IBCS and their commitment to nurturing excellence within the industry.

‘We’re very proud to sponsor this prestigious Innovation award. As a long-time member of the FLTA we fully understand what it takes as a team at IBCS to be nominated by your industry peers and to win’, said Sales Director Paul Hewson.

IBCS has been nominated three years running, (winning in 2017) for the ‘Supplier of the Year for Excellence’ award. The award is given in recognition of tireless work in meeting and exceeding customer requirements throughout the year.

The FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence are the longest running and most prestigious in the materials handling industry, and are attended by more than 400 of the forklift industry’s leading figures.
