Residents of Andover will be able to use a temporary swimming pool while the town’s Leisure Centre is rebuilt.
A partnership between Aganto, one of the UK’s leading temporary building suppliers, and Total Swimming, has meant that the residents of Andover can continue their recreational activities without disruption whilst work was carried out on the facilities of their existing swimming pool.
Total Swimming was co-founded by Olympic Swimmers Steve Parry and Adrian Turner and is the market leader in demountable swimming pool solutions across the UK. Over the last 5 years they have delivered over 40 projects for local authorities, leisure trusts and private leisure providers.
Total Swimming approached Aganto for their expertise in the provision of a temporary building for a project in Andover.
After a visit to the unit Aganto had provided Derby County Football Club, which is in use as swimming lanes and a gym for the footballers, Aganto and Total Swimming worked together with the architects to provide the local council with a structure that could be used for a temporary swimming pool for 2 years whilst renovation work was done to the existing pool facilities.
Sales manager John Hutchinson advised a 20m width x 35m length unit on 5.2m leg, Thermo roof with 50mm Sandwich panel walling. The unit was supplied with a double entrance door, fire exit doors and access panels to reach the under pool area.
