Combilift is a regular exhibitor at Ligna – the world’s leading exhibition for the timber and woodworking sector – and over 16 exhibits were on show in Hannover this year, ranging from the walkbehind Combi-WR reach stacker to the unmissable Combi-SC Straddle Carrier. The new Combi-MR model also had its official European premiere at the show.

This stand-on multidirectional truck (a sit-down option is also available) combines the capabilities of a reach truck with the versatility of multidirectional travel for operation in tight spaces. Its extreme manoeuvrability enables it to work in reduced aisle widths for maximum use of storage s

The Combi-MR is characterised by its unique steering function: the joystick enables seamless switching of the direction of travel and compact turns. With the ability to handle both palletised and longer loads, this innovative electric powered forklift enables operations to benefit from faster procedures.

The design of the cab and the overhead guard offers excellent all round visibility and driver protection, offering a high level of ergonomic comfort and safety for the operator. The 4-wheeled model features a large single drive wheel, fitted with a 400 mm diameter rubber tyre with 360° steering rotation. This is positioned at the rear right hand corner to enable low level entry and exit for the operator and is therefore less tiring when a lot of order picking is involved. The rear articulated axle provides maximum traction and a smooth ride for the operator even across uneven surfaces, inside and out. With a lift capacity of 2,300kg, it comes with optional lift heights.

“We originally developed this model following demand from the US market and having seen the very positive reaction to it there we believe it will become equally popular in Europe, which is why we chose the Ligna show as the perfect platform to introduce this to a wider audience on this side of the Atlantic,” said Combilift MD Martin McVicar.
