The IMHX show, which takes place every three years and attracts around 20,000 visitors, is one of the most influential in the sector. Statistics from 2013 revealed that as many as 77 percent of attendees changed their buying habits after seeing product demonstrations or visiting exhibition stands.

This year, Hörmann’s stand covered an impressive 180m². Visitors were given the opportunity to not only see many of the manufacturer’s most popular industrial door and loading bay products up close, but also get a first look at the latest new products being released in the UK.

Hörmann’s high speed spiral door and new direct drive rolling shutter, which has an opening speed of just 1.2mtr/sec, were among the most impressive displays.

Demonstrations of Hörmann’s intelligent DOBO docking system, which enables a truck to dock onto the loading bay before having to open its rear doors, also proved to be popular.

David O’Mara, Marketing Manager at Hörmann (UK) Ltd. commented: “IMHX 2016 has been a big success for us. With tens of thousands of industry specialists attending the event, along with some of the leading decision makers, it provided the perfect opportunity to offer information and advice on our product range, in addition to showcasing our recently improved service packages to key industry targets.”

To celebrate what’s been a successful year so far, Hörmann also invited clients to a corporate evening on the first night of the show. Guests were treated to a three-course dinner and evening entertainment.

Speakers included Hörmann’s UK Managing Director, David Newcombe, and UK Sales Director, Alan Jenkins who talked about the latest industry challenges and developments, as well as looking ahead to Hörmann’s future investment in the UK.
