Our associated business “Rack Training Ltd” prepare and execute a modular training plan for each of our site based staff, giving them the tools and knowledge needed to safely and professionally complete their daily duties to the highest of standards.
What makes us different to other companies?
We don’t feel that “experience” is enough for operating in and around pallet racking. Each member of our team are subject to thorough health and safety training including CIEH First Aid, Manual Handling and also Risk Assessment training. They also hold IOSH Working Safely qualifications in addition to this our supervisor and site management staff hold the IOSH Managing Safely qualifications, all an absolute must for those working in what can sometimes be a dangerous environment.
The highest accreditation for our industry
Naturally as the co-developers and creators of the industry’s first and still only NVQ (National Vocation Qualification) for the Installation, Maintenance and Inspection of Industrial Storage Equipment, our team hold the qualification in their relevant role which gives them increased confidence in their day to day work.
We feel the NVQ is the best qualification for those working in and around pallet racking as it proves competency. Being 100% practical, the qualification is achieved through a portfolio of evidence which is collected by a trained assessor. The NVQ is the most thorough and relevant qualification for our industry, if you have people working on your pallet racking, don’t you think they should hold a regulated Ofqual approved qualification? Our customers think so and so do we.
Other qualifications and accreditations
Our team are SEIRS registered which ensures we abide by all current SEMA guidelines and best practice. We personally complete our works to the European EN 15635 standards in which SEMA bases its guidelines, this ensures we are if anything above the standard set.
Our NVQ qualified staff each hold a CSCS blue card which allows them full site access to complete work and a dedicated task. Our supervisor team are some of the few within our industry who hold a CSCS gold card, this proves their significant level of supervisory skill and time served within the pallet racking industry. The gold card is only achievable with an NVQ qualification, again cementing the obvious benefits of having works completed by our staff.
Our team leaders are qualified onto the SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) along with our site managers on the SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) which The United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) believe meets the required standard for all staff working on UKCG sites.
Refreshers
Each of our courses and qualifications are refreshed for staff at chosen and agreed intervals, ensuring our team have the most relevant and current information relayed to them to operate safely and efficiently. This includes all courses including our CIEH and IOSH.
