Leading workplace transport accrediting body and Driver CPC Consortium, RTITB, has announced it will run quarterly masterclasses open to all transport, warehousing and logistics training providers. The masterclasses will cover topics designed to support RTITB’s mission of increasing safety and efficiency in workplace transport operations through high quality training.

The first in the series of new masterclasses will take place in Telford, West Midlands on Friday 17 July and will be delivered by award winning entrepreneur and international best-selling author, Nicola Cook. The objective of the class is to help businesses improve sales conversion rates, results and profitability by teaching a simple 5-step process.

“Many employers still seek only compliance when booking training. We don’t believe this is enough when money is being invested in training,” explains Laura Nelson, Managing Director of RTITB. “Learning these vital skills will help training providers effectively communicate the business benefits of high quality training to employers. They will also have the skills to build on-going, long term relationships with employers, offering guidance and support when needed to ensure safety in the workplace is maintained.”

The Sales Masterclass aims to relieve the anxiety that many people feel when it comes to sales by teaching them a variety of skills. The training will include the sales ‘asks’ that impact results by more than 50%; ways to encourage those on the fence to ‘buy now’; simple ways to gain customer commitment; and how to turn a single transaction into an ongoing relationship with multiple sales and increased value.

To help put the techniques they have learnt into practice, participants will also learn how to duplicate these methods into powerful sales copy, to create sales pages, letters and emails that convert more sales.

“The classes will be open to all materials handling equipment and LGV training providers, and are not limited to RTITB members, everyone can benefit from them,” adds Laura Nelson. “This isn’t about making a profit. We simply want to support our industry in becoming safer and more efficient.”

Tickets are available now for the Sales Masterclass to individuals or organisations delivering MHE, FLT, LGV or Driver CPC Training on a commercial basis. The standard ticket price is £245+VAT, or £195+VAT for RTITB accredited organisations, Master Driver CPC members and RTITB registered instructors.
