Leo Schifano, employed by Pall-Ex since 2009, works in partnership with the company’s network of member hauliers, generating new business in support of depots’ individual growth and business development objectives.

Premier Palletised, based in Wembley, has credited Leo for his part in securing its contract with Rustins, a supplier of decorating and finishing products, which has resulted in an increase of more than 10,000 pallets per year through the Pall-Ex network.

Peterborough-based Boons Transport has welcomed barbeque and outdoor heating specialist Landmann UK, as well as Cambridge’s Supermax Healthcare Ltd into its portfolio of clients, in deals which will see the Pall-Ex network distributing more than 16,000 pallets on behalf of these service-users in their first year.

Meanwhile, Leo’s work in conjunction with 1st Class Transport, based in Milton Keynes, has assisted the depot in securing a Pall-Ex network contract with Interpack Ltd, a manufacturer of specialist containers for food and chemicals, which will see more than 6,000 pallets distributed by Pall-Ex members in its first year.

Sue Hodgson, director of network services at Pall-Ex, commented: “Pall-Ex offers a quality service and opportunities for its members. Our business is powered by outstanding teams and individuals, like Leo, whose dedication and expertise drive the sustainable growth of our network.”

Robert Caen, MD at 1st Class Transport, added: “Our work with Leo led to 1st Class securing our largest Pall-Ex account to date last year, with Fuji Film; while Interpack Ltd represents another major account within our customer portfolio. The Pall-Ex brand allows 1st Class to access and service all kinds of customers with confidence.”
