‘Operational excellence throughout the packaging supply chain’ will be the overarching theme for Antalis Packaging at the Internet Retailing Expo in March 2015. Visitors to the Antalis stand (J11), can see the latest protective packaging products and learn about its bespoke solutions and consultancy services designed to maximise product security at minimum cost, and how to streamline efficiencies from goods in, to goods out.

On display will be a selection of secure packaging solutions that hold goods in place to provide optimum protection for delicate and high value items. These include a variety of suspension packages, which ‘suspends’ the item between two sheets of film membrane, as well as retention containers whereby the goods are fixed in place under a flexible PU film for secure storage and transportation.

Also on the stand will be a range of void-fill products including its AirSpeed range of inflatable air cushion systems and the Wonderfill™ air-packet solution. Offering an alternative to foam products giving maximum protection during storage and transit, these lightweight and compact air cushion systems convert flat performance film into inflatable cushions to any required lengths, on-demand, eliminating the need to store bulky cushioning products. Offering an alternative to the air cushion system, the FillPak TT portable void-fill system creates crumpled paper to form filling material, which is dispensed to the required length for securing and protecting the product within the its packaging box.

Complementing its protective packaging solutions, Antalis Packaging will also present a selection of its wide range of mailroom products, including padded envelopes, corrugated postal wraps, composite foam packs, postal tubes, suspension and retention packs and printed tapes.  Visitors can also see how the new Brother Tape Creator can simply and quickly create personalised and corporate branded bespoke tape within minutes.

“The value of a product and the loyalty of a customer can be totally ruined if their product fails to reach its destination in perfect condition, not to mention any damage to the reputation of a brand. Therefore the value placed on the protective packaging of products and loads should never be underestimated,” says Andrew Smedley, Divisional Manager at Antalis Packaging.

He continues, “At Antalis Packaging, our mission is to work with our customers to highlight ways in which they can maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of their packaging operation whilst minimising costs to deliver real business benefits to all parties involved.”
