Leading workplace transport training accrediting body, RTITB, has launched an online advent calendar, featuring safety tips, fun facts and giveaways behind each door in the countdown to Christmas.
The free advent calendar is available through RTITB’s website. Visitors to the site can open a virtual door each day in the run up to Christmas to reveal a fun fact, a safety tip, quiz or video relating to the Christmas season, safe driving and safe forklift operation.
“We enjoy engaging with our members and instructors and this year’s advent calendar is not only a fun and festive treat but also a helpful reminder of the importance of safety procedures around the Christmas season,” says Laura Nelson, Operations Director for RTITB.
The run up to Christmas can be a stressful time in any business to meet the seasonal increase in demand. It is easy for skilled operators to become distracted and forget basic training, or to grow careless in trying to achieve the high demands of the Christmas period.
