PPS Midlands has moved onwards and upwards, relocating into larger more modern 75,000 sq. ft. premises in Marchington, Uttoxeter as part of its strategic plan for continued growth. This site will provide increased plant capacity at the new facility and additional office space for PPS’s growing support and sales staff.

Forward-planning-for-reusable-transit-packagingPPS has been providing a comprehensive range of Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) services from their site in Measham, Leicestershire for 7 years. This includes the rental, pooling, management, hygienic washing and repair of all types of RTP such as plastic pallets, crates, trays and pallet boxes.

The use of Returnable Transit Packaging has grown significantly over the last 10 years as more businesses become aware of the benefits of switching from single use packaging such as cardboard and polystyrene to RTP. The use of RTP within supply chains can contribute to creating a more sustainable operation and provides valuable cost savings.

Joanne Moss – Sales & Marketing Director at PPS commented “We had out grown our site in Measham and therefore, to continue to meet our customers’ and the markets growing demands for RTP services such as rental, pooling, washing and equipment repairs, it was necessary to invest and upgrade our current facilities.

The new site in Marchington has been extensively refurbished to meet both current and future business requirements. A brand new wash machine has been installed to run alongside our current wash line, this will enable the business to increase service capacity and provide for sustained growth, whilst ensuring PPS continues to meet the high standards that our customers expect.

We plan to have an official ‘Open Day’ on Thursday September 11th 2014 to welcome our customers to view our extended RTP services. Our staff will be on hand to offer site tours plus discuss our RTP services.’
