Gazeley, a leading global developer, owner and manager of logistics warehouses and distribution parks has confirmed deals totaling in excess of 2 million sq ft at strategic sites throughout the United Kingdom.

chazThe transactions include:

• The development of a 668,000 sq ft (69,000 sq m) ecommerce warehouse for leading UK Retailer John Lewis at Magna Park Milton Keynes, Gazeley UK’s flagship logistics park comprising of 155 acres capable of accommodating a further 2.2 million square feet of logistics and production space. The project features a range of energy saving initiatives and will serve as an extension to the customer’s existing 650,000 sq ft (60,000 sq m) distribution centre also developed by Gazeley in 2007.

• The letting of a 383,000 sq ft (38,000 sq m) BREEAM Outstanding rated logistics warehouse to leading global manufacturer of construction equipment JCB at its Blue Planet development in Stoke on Trent. The building will serve as a receiving hub for supplier-bought components used in the manufacture and assembly of JCB machines to support the growth of JCB’s fast-expanding global business.

• The freehold sale of 64 acres capable of delivering 1.1 million sq ft (102,193 sq m) at G.Park Crick, Northampton to global member warehouse club Costco. The site will serve as Costco’s European Distribution Centre catering for the growth of the wholesaler’s logistics requirements now and in future phases.

• The completion of a 265,000 sq ft (24,619 sq m) built to suit manufacturing / distribution facility for leading soft drinks manufacturer AG Barr at Magna Park Milton Keynes. The building was completed in April 2013 and is already operating to produce and distribute wholesale brands including Monster, Irn-Bru and Rubicon.
