Tamlite Lighting, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and designers of lighting, will be launching three major new products, plus an important initiative to help identify high-performance LED products, at LuxLive 2013, where it has the largest stand (F38).
Tamlite is taking the opportunity as the biggest LuxLive exhibitor to launch its new mark of assured performance for LED products. The new INFINITY mark makes it simple for its customers to immediately identify LED products that meet technical standards for excellent light quality.
LuxLive also marks the launch of three major new products from Tamlite. Visitors to stand F38 at Earls Court, London will also get a first look at EXCEL 2020-LED, which features high-efficiency LEDs in combination with a low-glare optic; HILUX-LED, a high-output option that makes LED suitable for high-ceilinged industrial environments; and EUROWP-LED, an IP65 LED weatherproof, polycarbonate luminaire.

The INFINITY mark
The INFINITY mark will now feature on the products within Tamlite’s LED range that meet specific high performance standards for efficiency, life, colour rendering, colour temperature and testing. It has been developed to help customers to differentiate these ‘performance’ products from lower-specification LED products.
In the past, Tamlite’s INFINITY brand encompassed all of its LED products. However, as Tamlite has widened its LED offering, INFINITY has evolved into a byword for quality. Responding to customers’ needs, Tamlite is reintroducing INFINITY as an important mark of clarity and assurance in the often-confusing arena of LED lighting.
Tamlite’s Colin Lawson comments: “Customers have never had so much choice when it comes to LED products, but with choice comes confusion. The INFINITY mark performs an important role, cutting through the confusion that surrounds LED products.”
He adds: “When Tamlite customers see the INFINITY mark, they know, at a glance, that this LED product achieves natural colour rendering, comfortable colour temperature and appropriate glare control. This makes choosing the right product infinitely simpler.”
2020 EXCEL-LED
The newly-launched 2020 EXCEL-LED will also be on display at the Tamlite stand. Using the well-established louvre construction, Tamlite has created a product that features high-efficiency LEDs in combination with a low-glare optic with good visual contrast.
As an advance on old-style louvres, which produced ‘tunnel effect’ lighting, the 2020 EXCEL-LED benefits from soft cut off, due to mix of diffuser and white trim around the louvre. 2020 EXCEL- LED represents a response to the balancing act between maintaining comfortable light quality and also achieving energy savings.
HILUX-LED
HILUX-LED, also on show at LuxLive, is the culmination of important R&D by Tamlite. It is an industry-leading LED product, suitable for industrial environments where long-term reliability is crucial for those in the Logistics and Industrial sector. Tamlite’s in-house design team has worked to develop a high-performance portfolio of reflectors and optics to ensure that the HILUX-LED delivers energy savings – without any compromise in quality or long-term performance.
Suitable for warehouses, sports halls and other high-ceilinged spaces, HILUX-LED is the 3rd generation system of the HILUX luminaire range. More than 200,000 HILUX luminaires have already been sold in the past 5 years. And HILUX-LED now comes with the option of high-quality Philips LEDs and drivers.
EUROWP-LED
Another new product for industrial applications is the EUROWP-LED, an IP65 LED weatherproof, polycarbonate luminaire. Fully weatherproof and suitable for general industrial areas, the EUROWP-LED comes with high-quality branded control gear and stainless steel, easy-fit ceiling fixings as standard.
In addition to the three new product launches, Tamlite will be showcasing its full range of lighting technologies at stand F38. Tamlite experts will be on hand throughout the LuxLive exhibition to offer guidance on the latest innovations in energy-efficient lighting.
