June 2013 sees Filplastic UK celebrate their 20th Anniversary as one of the UK’s leading storage and display equipment suppliers.
Filplastic UK is best known for its range of durable wire storage baskets which are perfect for warehouse and logistics businesses. Although wire storage baskets were historically used for builders and plumbers merchants, to store plastic fittings, more recently they have been popular with clothing companies for pick, pack and despatch fulfilment warehouses.
Managing Director Paul Taylor explains “Our wire storage baskets are a brilliant solution for storing and picking products that are cellophane wrapped or may be an awkward shape. Cellophane wrapped products slide all over conventional shelving, leaving the warehouse messy and products open to damages, our wire storage baskets hold the products in place and also give excellent visual access for stock level control. Many customers use the wire storage baskets within their racking to keep back-up stocks above to replenish supplies”
Paul Taylor is one of the original founders of Filplastic UK and says they have managed to retain a real family ethos within the company, which is reflected in Filplastic‘s reputation for excellent customer care and friendly service.
Filplastic UK is based in East Yorkshire and has a sales team network that covers the UK. This means that Filplastic can give each customer the individual attention they need.
Although the wire storage baskets form a major part of the company Filplastic UK also supplies a wide range of shelving, racking, parts bins and display equipment with mezzanine floors showing phenomenal growth at the moment. Paul continues “A mezzanine floor is the ideal solution to deal with stock increases and diminishing space without having to relocate, releasing space above a storage area; it is always cheaper to go up than out! We’re confident we can beat most of the competition on price”.
Filplastic have celebrated their anniversary by launching a new website, they are still in the process of adding new products, but already it is proving a huge success as it continues to grow.
