A merger has taken place between two of the West Country’s leading forklift truck suppliers, Bristol Forklifts and AJ Mechanical Handling, both based in Bristol. By joining forces and combining expertise and resources, the company can continue to provide customers with a competitive and responsive service; both in these difficult trading conditions, and beyond, taking them forward for future growth.
Bristol Forklifts and AJ Mechanical Handling operate in the highly competitive field of materials handling, supplying new and refurbished forklift trucks on a hire or purchase basis to customers throughout the West Country, as well as offering a comprehensive maintenance and parts service.
The market for forklift trucks is extremely diverse with a wide range of industries needing to move and handle heavy loads. To put it into perspective, everything we eat or wear, and everything in our home, including the materials to build the house itself, has at some stage been stored and handled by materials handling equipment.
The company will trade as Bristol Forklifts and all the vehicles, staff and service technicians will be based at the Bristol Forklifts premises in Patchway. Their combined strength means that they will have over 300 trucks in their hire fleet. This is supported by a highly experienced team of service technicians able to respond promptly to servicing, maintenance and repair calls.
