ACS&T Logistics, the UK’s leading provider of frozen-food transport and storage, has recently won a contract to provide an extended range of logistics and production support services to Kwok Foods, the UK manufacturer of Oriental ready meals. Under the terms of the new contract, ACS&T Logistics has begun to provide storage facilities for Kwok Foods’ ambient ingredients and packaging materials, together with daily, just in time deliveries to their Grimsby factory. ACS&T Logistics has provided a similar service for Kwok Foods’ frozen ingredients since 2005. The new contract is being handled by ACS&T’s recently established Production Support division.
Led by ACS&T Customer Account Manager Sara Olivant, the ACS&T team is working with Kwok Foods to manage their ambient ingredient and packaging supplies and provide a factory feed delivery service using a dedicated shuttle. Their efforts are supported by ACS&T Logistics’ sophisticated, web-based IT system, which provides immediate access for all parties to live information regarding stock levels and deliveries. The team is working to a standard next day delivery for over 65 separate ambient stock lines, but a four hour turn around for urgent orders is provided when necessary.

The new contract is running smoothly and we are working hard with the Kwok team to continually improve the service we provide.”
Kwok Foods is a major supplier of oriental ready meals to the retail sector, and the pioneer of a wide range of innovative products including express grab bags, noodle bars and Thai bars.
