With an area of more than 2,500 sqm the SSI Schaefer trade stand dominated events in hall 13. We completely reached the objectives we had for the fair. The live presentation of the SCP (Schaefer Case Picking) essentially contributed to this success. The SCP was awarded a special price just a few hours after its market launch: The innovation received the MM Logistik Award.

The SCP is a complex, modular and almost endlessly expandable overall solution. It includes all warehousing processes from goods receiving of single material pallets to de-palletising, buffering, order picking, sequencing and tailored palletising to goods issuing.

The live presentation of ergonomics@work also sparked a lot of interest with visitors. It is our goal to assist employees at pick-positions with ergonomic work stations, to increase output and reduce the error rate through coordinated processes, intelligent user guidance, work-friendly design of stations, materials comfortable to humans as well as a noise-reduced environment due to the new silent conveyor technology.

For us, CeMAT 2008 was an absolutely successful event. We are very pleased. The Schaefer stand had a significant number of visitors at all times and we had many excellent talks with customers. Our expectations to reach international decision makers concerning logistics in different sectors of industry were met. We were able to tie new business contacts especially with customers from Europe but also with interested parties from the US, Canada, South America, Russia and Asia.

Bob Jane, Business Development Manager, SSI Schaefer UK, said: “Once again SSI Schaefer’s presence at CeMat was a huge success with the unveiling of exclusive new products for today’s competitive materials handling industry. We are already looking forward to the CeMAT 2011 with great anticipation.”
