Culina Logistics Ltd is continuing to support Hope House Children’s hospice in Oswestry by featuring the charity’s logo emblazoned across one of its newly branded 44ft articulated vehicles. Operating from the company’s Market Drayton site, the vehicle will cover around 100,000 miles a year as it travels the length and breadth of the country – raising awareness for the cause, whilst distributing food and drink products to major supermarket retailers. A supporter of the charity since 2005, Culina recently sponsored the hospices’ Rose Ball at The Park House Hotel in Shifnal, which raised a much-needed £10,000 to help provide respite care for many children and their families. Dedicated to the worthy cause, Culina also holds its own fundraising activities and currently has a golf day planned.
Employees from all Culina’s distribution centres across the UK will compete for the Culina Cup, at Hawkstone Park Hotel and Golf Club, with all the proceeds donated to Hope House.
Michelle Anderson, transport manager at Culina’s Shrewsbury Road site has been the driving force in the support for the charity and regularly ensures Culina’s involvement at events whenever possible.
Michelle says: “The spirit created for families at Hope House is truly inspiring and to be able to have a small helping hand in that is a great feeling. At Culina we are strongly committed to giving something back to the local community.

She says: “For most parents, the thought of outliving their child is unimaginable, but for some that becomes a reality. At Hope House we provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing their child.
“As a local charity we rely mainly on voluntary fundraising and Culina has been an important vehicle in spreading our name. With their help we have been able to reach out and help more children and families who rely upon us to always be there for them for as long as they need us to be.
Hope House opened for respite care for terminally ill children over 12 years ago. Since then, over 400 families have been cared for by the hospice. The centre, which is open 24-hours a day, is named after a child, Hope Peachey, who died aged eight months.
It provides a wide range of facilities such as children’s bedrooms, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room and a music room, along with a playground and landscaped gardens.
