As living costs continue to soar, the company behind one of the UKs most comprehensive B2B employee benefits solutions has expanded the financial, health and wellbeing support, services, resources and benefits, available on its customisable employee benefits app.

David McCormack, CEO, HIVE360.

HIVE360 has given its Engage app a major boost with a range of enhancements and an extensive refresh, with the aim of helping businesses provide cost effective tools that help workers striving to manage the rising cost of everyday items and purchases.

“Recent research (the Joseph Rowntree Foundation) revealed that almost one third of UK workers – approximately 8.2 million people – said they experienced low work productivity due to financial concerns, whilst a ProGlove-commissioned survey of warehouse and logistics workers, finds that 42% highlight exhaustion and fatigue as significant challenges every day,” explains David McCormack, CEO, HIVE360.

“The timing of the launch of these extensive enhancements is deliberate as we aim to address the biggest issues and support the top concerns facing UK businesses and their workers right now.

“The changes benefit both employees and employers, with new features that provide even more resources and access to more health and financial support than ever before. They also mark a powerful move forward for HIVE360 and Engage, as we continue to build on our customer experience, data and offerings for all clients, and provides the most needed support to their workforce, both inside and outside the workplace.

“The importance of employee financial wellbeing has never been higher as the cost of living continues to rise,” he adds. “The app now features an extensive, robust suite of solutions, from debt and money management guidance to payroll information, payslips, Health & pension performance, together in one place, and available to users 24/7.

“Employees’ physical and mental health and wellbeing are also suffering, so the mental health and wellbeing services have been extended. Engage supports employee wellness strategies, including integrating several clinically proven counselling approaches to support employees – from everyday mental wellbeing needs to individual critical incident support where necessary. This includes an online GP appointment booking system, and six face-to-face counselling sessions per ‘episode’ for every user, and at no extra cost to the client.

“Employee wellbeing is one of the top challenges for employers. It is closely linked to staff recruitment as well as retention, as well as their levels of productivity and engagement.”

The recent enhancements enable greater insights into employees’ usage habits and trends, providing anonymised data and insights on the services, benefits and resources their workforce is most often using and accessing on Engage. “This delivers information that can help inform the wider business strategy, employee training and development programmes, comprehensive employee support, and business continuity planning – which is invaluable for employers, HR professionals, and business owners,” David explains.

“Businesses looking for cost effective tools to help workers manage spiralling inflation and soaring living costs, as well as optimise talent attraction and retention strategies, should find out how employee benefits make a difference.”
