A-SAFE, the global leader in industrial workplace safety solutions, is delighted to announce that they have been selected as a finalist for the International Business of the Year category as part of the Yorkshire Post Business awards.

The Halifax-based business, which designs and manufactures the most advanced and innovative industrial safety products in the world, is one of only five companies to have been shortlisted for the award.

James Smith, co-owner and Director at A-SAFE, said: “We are delighted to be finalists in the Yorkshire Post Business awards. We’re incredibly proud of our Yorkshire roots and still embody the spirit of a local business, but now operate at a global scale. From the earliest days of our business, we have always maintained a clear focus on keeping people safe and innovating to improve efficiency in industrial workplaces. It’s been fantastic to see our growth over the years, from humble beginnings to a truly global reach – all thanks to our amazing team and dedicated customers.”

Chris Burn, Business and Features Editor for The Yorkshire Post, said: “At a time of much economic uncertainty nationally and globally, it was genuinely inspirational to read about the amazing work being done in so many different fields by businesses right here in Yorkshire.

“They are not just surviving but thriving – and in the process helping people and society in all manner of ways. To make the shortlist is a genuine achievement in itself, as the quality of the entries was so high across the different categories.”

The awards ceremony will be held on November 23 at Headingley Stadium, in Leeds.
