Production will start in time for the CeMAT 2014: With the new electric low-lift pallet truck PX 20 and the electric pedestrian operated high-lift truck SX 12/16, CLARK offers a cost-effective, robust solution for forklift applications in sales, warehousing and factories. The production of the new CLARK Burden Carriers has also successfully started. The passenger transport and electric commercial vehicles open up completely new application fields in industry, garden centres, internal transport and leisure etc.

Low life cycle costs, practical performance and unrestricted user-friendliness – the factors which the market has so far primarily associated with counterbalanced forklifts and warehouse technology from CLARK. With significant investments, CLARK has now also managed to enter the Burden Carrier segment with electric AC power. Since November 2013, passenger transport and electric commercial vehicles have been manufactured at the CLARK Lexington (USA) site; initially, there are three models to choose from.The majority of machines include 48 Volt AC motors, 10-inch wheels, disc brakes and hour recording meters.

CLARK Burden Carriers: 2-seater, 4-seater

The CBX model series (Cargo Box Burden Carrier) from CLARK is available as a 2 or 4-seater and includes an aluminium cargo box. Depending on the model, the maximum payload of the CBX is between 360 kg (CBX2) and 545 kg (CBX4), with a  top speed of almost 20 km/h. The CLARK FBX model series (Flatbed Burden Carrier) has a load capacity of 725 kg and a 16 km/h top speed and is available as a 2 or 2+2-seater. The storage and loading options are distinctive – even the platform is impressive with dimensions of 1.80 x 1.10 m (L x W). The white, off-road CLARK model series Goat GO 240 with 2, 2+2, 4 or 4+2 seats is entering the market. Equipped with a practical cargo box, the passenger transport vehicle opens up several fields of applications.

CLARK also gains new applications with the launch of the electric low-lift pallet truck PX 20 and the pedestrian operated electric high-lift truck SX 12/16. Since CLARK has transferred the Built to Last principle of its forklifts to the low and high-lift trucks.” Along with the new low and high-lift trucks, the CLARK portfolio in the warehouse technology segment also includes low-lift order pickers, high-lift order pickers and reach trucks.

CLARK warehousing technology: Selected components

With the design of the electric low-lift pallet truck PX 20 (load capacity: 2.0 t) and pedestrian operated high-lift truck SX 12/16 (load capacities: 1.2 t / 1.6 t – max. lifting height: 5.2 m), CLARK draws on components of well-known European suppliers – customers benefit from a ZF- transmission, a drive unit from FREI, a controller from ZAPI and drive motors from Schabmüller. In order to assist the driver over long distances, CLARK offers the option of a folding operators platform. Various framework constructions also allow the accommodation of batteries up to a capacity of 375 Ah. The uprights are available in various configerations and offer good residual carrying capacities at high lifting heights.

CLARK warehousing technology: Simply more productivity

The electric low-lift and high-lift trucks are equipped with drive motors with 24 Volt three-phase technology. The advantage: adjustable, regenerative braking when reducing driving speed ensures smooth working and protects the components. The parking brake function incorporates electromagnetic brakes. All functions such as lifting, lowering and inching are located on the control arm head, which is connected to the drive controller via CAN-BUS technology. The new CLARK warehousing technology machines also have the option of keyboard access with PIN code on the control arm head eliminating the need for an operators key switch.
