The UK’s premier event for the cold chain returns to the NEC, Birmingham, on 10th & 11th March 2027, bringing the industry together for a very special celebration as TCS&D marks 50 years of supporting the temperature-controlled supply chain.

But 2027 is about much more than an exhibition. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the people, businesses and innovations that have shaped the cold chain industry over the past five decades.

TCS&D’s Remarkable Journey

The TCS&D story began in 1977 when Richard Cogan launched TCS&D magazine.

What started as a specialist trade magazine has grown into the industry’s most established and trusted name, supporting businesses and individuals responsible for keeping the UK’s temperature-controlled supply chain moving.

Over the past 50 years, TCS&D has witnessed extraordinary changes in refrigerated transport, cold storage and distribution. Yet one thing has remained constant: its commitment to connecting, supporting and celebrating the industry.

Martyn Cogan, Event Organiser of the Cold Chain Hub, comments: “Reaching our 50th Anniversary is an incredibly proud moment both for TCS&D and our family.

“When my father Richard Cogan launched the magazine back in 1977, he laid the foundations for what has become 50 years of championing this fantastic industry.”

The Cold Chain Hub 2027 is our opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. This isn’t just a celebration of TCS&D; it’s a celebration of the industry we love and the amazing people behind it.

Bigger Ambitions, New Opportunities

Supported by the Road Haulage Association, Transport Operator and Warehouse & Logistics News, the Cold Chain Hub 2027 will bring together leading manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals under the theme ‘Sustainable Solutions for the Cold Chain’.

Visitors can explore the latest innovations in refrigerated transport, cold storage, logistics, energy efficiency and temperature-controlled technology.

COLD CHAIN THINK TANK

Alongside the exhibition, the new free-to-attend “COLD CHAIN THINK TANK” seminar theatre will take place across both days and will focus on refrigerated transport and cold storage, with insightful presentations from a variety of industry leaders.

A landmark event not to be missed

Martyn Cogan adds: “We want March 2027 to be something special. Fifty years is an incredible milestone, and we’re determined to celebrate it properly!

“Whether you’ve been part of our journey for decades or you’re joining us for the first time, we want you there!”.

Organised by the team behind TCS&D and Frozen & Chilled Foods magazines, and once again supported by the Road Haulage Association, the Cold Chain Hub has already attracted a number of returning and new exhibitors. The show will feature a whole host of solutions designed to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the movement and storage of both frozen and chilled foods and pharmaceuticals.
