Loading bay specialist Stertil Dock Products has delivered a loading bay installation for five newly developed distribution units at Mountpark Grange Castle West, Dublin. The scheme was undertaken for developer Mountpark, with TSL Contractors acting as the main contractor on the logistics development. The project includes four warehouse buildings, with floor areas ranging from 97,000sq ft to 197,000 sq ft.
DP World, in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), has overseen the transport of 5,000 metric tonnes of rice to aid humanitarian relief efforts in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. The shipment was coordinated by DP World’s Shipping Solutions division via the company’s Mundra Terminal in India, reinforcing its role in supporting global supply chains and critical aid distribution programmes.
SEMA has announced the launch of a new Duty Holders course which will be the first dedicated training programme aimed directly at warehouse owners and leadership. Starting in September, the online course is designed for anyone responsible for workplace safety and will cover the UK framework governing racking, the legal responsibilities that come with it, and practical steps businesses can take to stay safe and compliant.
