Visibility is crucial to every aspect of the supply chain. With businesses under increasing pressure to balance efficiency with environmental responsibility and reduce costs, it’s important that supply chain leaders have the tools to support these objectives.
One concern with ‘reusable containers’ is the fact that they are only reusable if they remain in your supply chain. Leaked assets often result in heavy fines, plus the cost of replacement.
But one company setting the standard for trackable reusable solutions in this space is Digipal. Their latest pallet box, the DigiBox, is fully tracked using 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, minimising the risk of leaked equipment.
Plus, it’s temperature-controlled, making it perfect for the fresh and chilled supply chains.
Digipal’s new DigiBox is a lightweight yet long-lasting and 100% tracked reusable plastic pallet box, weighing just 36.5 kg. Built to prioritise durability, it supports a stacking load capability of 5,000 kg, holding capacity of 700 kg and dynamic load capacity of 1,200 kg.
The DigiBox is resistant to most chemicals and cleaning agents, food-safe and HACCP compliant. Plus, it is suitable for a range of temperatures, protecting products between -30°C and +40°C, and briefly up to +90°C.
Like many Digipal products, its design keeps performance, functionality and sustainability front of mind.
The DigiBox is stackable for ease of use, transport and storage. It has three unwelded runners, making handling with forklift trucks much simpler. These boxes are also 100% tracked using cellular tracking devices, enabling real-time visibility and enhanced asset tracking across the supply chain.
The DigiBox is a pooled rental unit, owned by Digipal. These are purple as standard, with other colour and labelling options available for purchase only.
Customised printing and numbering are also available on request, depending on quantity.
Mattan David, Managing Director at Digipal, said:
“Adding the DigiBox to our product range gives our customers another option to minimise leakage in their supply chains, as well as streamline their operations, making storage, transportation and performance easier. It’s 100% tracked, so you can benefit from full visibility across your supply chain and back those all-important decisions with data.”
