Major brands including XPO, Iron Mountain and CEVA have been named on an awards shortlist by the warehousing sector’s leading trade association, alongside newer names in robotics, automation and digital technology.
The UK Warehousing Association’s Awards for Excellence, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, comes at a time of significant upheaval for the logistics industry. Faced by conflict abroad, and a raft of tax hikes and red tape at home, the awards celebrate companies who have navigated uncertainty, delivered excellent service and driven the industry forwards.
Across 11 categories, companies large and small, ranging from logistics providers to warehouse developers, are competing to take home an award at the ceremony on 15th July at the Royal Lancaster London. Winners last year included Yes! Logistics Solutions, StoreFeeder and CIRRO Fulfillment.
Clare Bottle, CEO of the UKWA, congratulated the shortlisted companies:
“It’s no secret that last year was challenging for many companies in the warehousing sector, and this year we’ve again found ourselves at the mercy of events beyond our control. Luckily, the UK logistics industry has become a byword for resilience in recent times, and this has been demonstrated again in the high quality of this year’s entries.
“As our industry changes, it’s important that we celebrate both how essential our members are to consumers and business supply chains, and how they are leading the charge on innovative technology, sustainability, and workforce engagement.”
