Also, on display is the electric dual drive version 610X, specifically engineered for heavier machines and capable to enhance precision and manoeuvrability in tight spaces, while reducing energy consumption, extending battery life and increasing service intervals.
In addition, Bonfiglioli provides the idle steering system, the DC/DC converter and a TFT touch screen engineered by Selcom, specialized in custom high-tech electronics and part of the Bonfiglioli group since 2023.
ELECTRIC MOTOR SOLUTIONS FOR OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLES
Bonfiglioli offers high-performance electric motors for precision, speed, and dynamic industrial applications. Thanks to its deep understanding of the industry and close collaboration with customers, Bonfiglioli can deliver tailored solutions that optimize performance, efficiency and durability. Its permanent magnet and induction motor technologies are specifically designed for demanding applications in material handling, delivering increased power, reduced energy consumption and lower TCO. In Stuttgart, the focus is on synchronous permanent magnet motors, such as the compact BPM Series. Designed for forklifts and aerial platforms applications, BPM motors deliver high torque density with a modular design across four sizes (48–400 Vdc) and optional SAE flanges. Among the induction motors, the reliable and robust BTM motor series is showcased. Suitable for harsh applications of pump drives up to 400 V, it boasts a protection rating up to IP67 and integrates sensors for simple control and easy maintenance.
NEW ON SHOW: AXIA FAMILY INVERTERS
Bonfiglioli introduces at LogiMAT the new AxiaAgile series. Together with the well-established AxiaVert series, AxiaAgile completes the Axia portfolio, offering an ideal solution for a wide range of logistic and material handling applications. While AxiaVert addresses high-performance and complex applications thanks to its modular architecture, extensive functional safety options and advanced motion control features, AxiaAgile provides a compact, cost-effective solution for general-purpose applications. Based on a concept of variants, AxiaAgile is designed to meet different application needs and offers dedicated configurations that simplify product selection and reduce engineering time. The four variants Basic, Standard, Enhanced and Advanced are developed for sensorless or simple closed loop applications and support different fieldbus systems. AxiaAgile offers integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality, with highest performance level and reliability. Sharing the same industrial design, commissioning and diagnostic tools, and user-friendly software environment (AxiaManager and Axia Manager Mobile), both AxiaAgile and AxiaVert ensure an intuitive user experience and seamless integration. The use of common accessories and software simplifies setup, parameterization and maintenance, while preserving the customer’s application know-how. AxiaVert meets the highest functional safety standards and provides STO, SS1 and SBC, or motion safety functions SLS, SLP and SOS. Furthermore, AxiaVert excels in EtherCAT FSoE communication integration, significantly reducing engineering and cabling costs by transmitting all safety communications between the inverter and PLC via the fieldbus. With AxiaVert covering power ratings up to 15 kW and AxiaAgile up to 11 kW, the expanded Axia family delivers maximum flexibility, scalability and performance to meet the specific needs of diverse industries.
COMPLETE SOLUTIONS FOR CONVEYORS
For roller conveyors, the solution covers gearmotor with decentralized inverter. It combines a compact EVOX CP helical in-line gearbox, ensuring high torque density and flexible mounting, with an IE3 MXN series asynchronous motor up to 7.5 kW and protection degree up to IP56, offering modularity and easy installation. For smart conveyors, three helical bevel gearmotors of the A Series are presented on a demo, each of them with three different torque ranges, coupled with asynchronous electric motors and synchronous reluctant motor with sensorized decentralized inverter. The inverter acts as a sort of control unit that communicates with the sensor integrated in the gearmotor, responsible for carrying out the predictive maintenance, i.e. IoT functions.
AMRs AND AGVs: KEY PLAYERS IN THE WAREHOUSE
For the demanding requirements of AMRs and AGVs, Bonfiglioli has developed the BlueRoll Platform. Available in three configurations – Basic, Advanced and Compact – thanks to its flexibility and full customization, this modular solution reduces complexity while ensuring position accuracy, maximum power density and energy efficiency. At LogiMAT, Bonfiglioli showcases a compact, energy-efficient precision wheel drive which can be easily installed within axle space and boasts enough torque capacity to move up to about 1 ton per drive wheel. Featuring a compact low voltage precision planetary servo gear motor compatible with electronic drives with 24 or 48-volt batteries, BlueRoll is the ideal solution for easy installation and retrofit, as it adapts to any AMR design.
ALWAYS AT THE FOREFRONT IN R&D
Bonfiglioli participates as end-user in the RE-PAIR project, part of the cascade fund JARVIS. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, it is an important step toward improving the remanufacturing of axle drives in Bonfiglioli, through the integration of enhanced vision systems and advanced human–robot interaction. By significantly reducing inspection time, assisting operators in defect identification and ensuring objective, traceable quality evaluation and reporting, RE-PAIR aims to unlock new remanufacturing opportunities while minimizing waste and enhancing efficiency throughout the value chain.
Bonfiglioli’s presence at LogiMAT confirms its long-standing expertise in delivering fully integrated, application-driven solutions for the logistics and intralogistics industry.
