Following a successful audit process, leading shipping container sales, hire and conversion specialist S Jones Containers has successfully achieved two further ISO accreditations – ISO 14001 covering environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

To achieve ISO 14001: Environmental Management System, the audit reviewed S Jones Containers’ commitment to reducing its environmental impact as an ongoing and proactive process with a particular focus on reducing waste and energy conservation. As well as replacing its Container Lift truck with a biodiesel version, triple glazing the windows at its head office and re-cladding the workshop, the team is also working towards installing solar panels on the roof. Achieving this ISO accreditation demonstrates S Jones Containers’ dedication to building a sustainable future for the business.
The team has also successfully completed the audit for ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This standard provides a framework to manage risks and improve occupational health and safety performance and shows a commitment to worker health, safety and wellbeing. As part of this process S Jones Containers is currently installing new software designed to manage the planning, scheduling, checking and recording of servicing, calibrating, monitoring and training. The company has also introduced scheduled daily briefings and fortnightly Toolbox Talks to make sure employees are fully aware of movements on site and to ensure they’re fully up-to-date with all training.
