Ahlmark Shipping (UK) has upgraded its forklift trucks with RES 660 Xtreme Series tyres, after an analysis from Solideal On-Site Service revealed the medium-intensity rated rubber previously fitted was failing prematurely as it wasn’t robust enough.
Danny Carmichael, Managing Director at Ahlmark Shipping (UK), says: “The technical survey was invaluable. We’re so busy day-to-day that we hadn’t had time to consider why our tyres were failing sooner than expected.
“However, after Solideal conducted an onsite analysis, it was clear that we needed a more resilient product. Armed with the data we were confident that if we paid a little more for our forklift tyres to start with, we would save money in the long run and boost productivity.”
The solution was the introduction of the SOLIDEAL RES 660 Xtreme Series solid-tyres across the fleet. The 660s run at overall lower operating temperatures to withstand non-stop usage and high intensity environments.
