If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

A 4-way shuttle, always on the go and can recharge anywhere at any time.

If you had your time again, what would you do different?

Sort my head out sooner.

What’s your favourite pastime?

Spending time with my wife Claudia, family and friends.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

I used to play rugby and then coached mini and junior rugby and now I am a season ticket holder to watch Worcester Warriors play.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?

Joking with a lady warehouse manager about her estranged husband only to be told he had died a week before. She then said it was ok, as they were divorced. I dug a very deep hole.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can balance 4 table spoons on my face.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

Sir Stephen Fry, intelligent and very witty.

What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Food.

If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

I would start by paying the mortgage off, then stuff the remainder into my pension, retire and travel the world with my wife.

I might give some to my children if they were nice to me.

What’s your dream holiday?

Just been – Canada and and an Alaskan cruise combined.

What’s your favourite music album?

It has to be Hall & Oates, by Daryl Hall and John Oates.

What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?

Breaking Bad.

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

From a sales perspective work for a good racking distributor where you will learn about all products and solutions in a warehouse. You will also learn how to be independent and flexible. The world in our industry will then open up to you.
