We take as much pride in our service as we do in our systems, and through unique partnerships with global leaders, we’re able to provide UK businesses with cutting-edge conveyor and robotics solutions on time and in budget. It’s easy to fall behind in this fast-moving world, but with BS Handling Systems at your side, you’ll be the one pulling ahead.
Can you give us a brief overview of the products and services your company provides?
BS Handling Systems is a turnkey solutions provider specialising in warehouse, storage, and conveyor systems across multiple industries. From small-scale installations to full facility-wide transformations, we provide bespoke systems that optimise operations and help businesses grow. Our offering covers everything from conveyors, sortation, and racking to mezzanines, automation, and robotics. We’ve been around for 40+ years, which is testament to our service-first approach and the long-term partnerships we build with clients.
What are you looking to achieve at IMHX this year?
IMHX is a brilliant opportunity to connect with logistics professionals and share how we’re helping customers tackle operational pressures head-on. This year, visitors will most likely find us talking enthusiastically about robotics and cross-belt sortation. Our partnerships with companies like Musketeers Capital and EAE Solutions are opening the door to cutting-edge innovations, including cross-belt sorters and collaborative robots that help make warehouse operations faster, safer, and more efficient than ever before.
Will you be launching any new products or services at the show?
We’ll be showcasing several new autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and collaborative systems through our strategic partnership with Musketeers Capital, including the latest cleaning and transport robots designed specifically for busy, fast-moving warehouse environments. We’re also highlighting how our collaboration with EAE Solutions is enabling us to deliver advanced cross-belt sortation systems that bring high-speed throughput and reliable item handling to facilities of all sizes.
What sets your company apart as a supplier in your sector?
We’re big believers that a solution is only as good as the people behind it. The quality of our systems is plain to see, but what really sets BS Handling Systems apart is our service-first approach. Client’s love working with us because we make things simple from start to finish. We take pride in ensuring every project runs smoothly, and we take even more pride when we see the impact our systems have on a client’s operation.
What business sectors are your customers in?
We work across a broad range of sectors including retail, ecommerce, 3PL, manufacturing, food and drink, fashion, and automotive. Whether we’re fitting out a distribution centre or upgrading a factory line, we tailor each project to the specific operational demands of the sector.
Which industry sectors are growing the quickest for your business?
Ecommerce and third-party logistics (3PL) remain strong growth areas, driven by increasing demand for speed, flexibility, and automation. We’re also seeing a rise in manufacturing clients investing in intralogistics improvements as part of wider digital transformation and reshoring strategies.
What innovative changes or strategies has your business adopted since the last IMHX in 2022?
We’ve deepened our capability in automation and robotics through strategic partnerships with companies like Musketeers Capital and EAE Solutions. These companies are international leaders in their respective fields, and it’s been our absolute pleasure to make their innovations accessible to UK businesses. We’ve also invested in expanding our in-house design and project delivery teams to meet growing demand for fully managed, multi-disciplinary installations.
In which overseas markets are you seeing the strongest growth and value creation at this time?
While our primary focus is the UK and Ireland, we’re seeing growing opportunities to collaborate internationally via our automation partners, especially in Europe and the Middle East. These markets are increasingly focused on warehouse modernisation, and we’re well positioned to support them through our flexible, partnership-led approach.
What is your vision for the company over the next few years?
Our aim is to be the UK’s most trusted partner for end-to-end warehouse and material handling solutions, combining smart system design with agile automation and, of course, world-class project delivery. We’re investing in talent, technology, and long-term partnerships to help customers future-proof their operations and grow with confidence.
What do you think are the most important innovations currently transforming the warehouse and logistics industry?
Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) like those from Musketeers Capital, scalable automation, and data-driven system design are game changers. Sortation systems – particularly cross-belt technology like that from EAE Solutions – are also transforming throughput and fulfilment accuracy for high-volume warehouses. The key is making these innovations practical and cost-effective, which is exactly where we focus.
What is your company doing to actively work towards a more sustainable business model?
Sustainability is embedded in how we design and deliver our systems. We focus on smart layouts that reduce energy usage, integrate automation to improve resource efficiency, and specify equipment with longevity, modularity, and energy-saving features. We also partner with manufacturers who share our environmental values and prioritise low-impact production methods. Internally, we’re taking a number of steps to make our operations more sustainable from procurement to project delivery.
How is your company making the workplace a safer environment for your employees?
Safety is non-negotiable. Every project is planned with risk mitigation in mind, whether we’re working on-site or in our warehouse. Our team undergoes regular training and we follow strict H&S protocols throughout every phase of design and installation. We’re also deploying more automated and robotic solutions that help reduce manual handling and repetitive strain, making life safer not only for our own team but for our clients’ warehouse staff too.
What strategy should the warehouse and logistics sectors take to drive and optimise efficiencies?
Start with the fundamentals: intelligent layout, efficient material flow, and integrated systems. Then layer on automation and robotics where they’ll have the greatest impact. Crucially, businesses should prioritise flexibility, i.e. investing in solutions that can scale and evolve as needs change.
How is the labour shortage in the warehouse and logistics sectors impacting your business?
Labour shortages are accelerating demand for automation, and we’re well-positioned to support customers looking for solutions that reduce manual workload without compromising flexibility. From cross-belt sortation to transport and picking, we’re helping clients bridge the labour gap with scalable systems that don’t rely on increasing headcount. For us internally, it’s about hiring smart and investing in the people and partnerships that give us long-term resilience.
And finally, what key message are you hoping to share with attendees who visit your stand?
Things are moving fast, but there’s no reason UK businesses should be left behind. Whether you’re starting small or thinking big, we can future-proof your facility and generally make it work harder for you. We’re very excited to show people our selection of technological marvels, and while we’re at it, we may have to emphasise how easily we can integrate it into their operation!
